The NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries commissioned me to develop original concepts, design and produce the exhibits and the public art facade and front plaza installations for their new Channel Islands Boating Center in the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, CA.

Inspired by the annual Chumash community's crossing to the Channel Islands in their traditional sewn-plank canoes called Tomols, I created a mural for the front facade and designed the front plaza hardscape features: navigation chart of the local waterways, the Compass Rose, as well as other related interactive exhibits.
