Scheduled for completion in 2020, the Boots are a light and sculpture installation created for the Sun City Lights, a public works project in El Paso, Texas.

El Paso is considered the world's cradle and epicenter of fancy cowboy boots industry. The Boots celebrate the boot-making artistry and craftsmanship thriving across the Mexican and American border communities of El Paso and Ciudad de Juarez.

 

The Boots transition from daylight installation to a nighttime light show, inspired by the rich cowboy and Latin music and dance cultures north and south of the border.
