My architectural rendering style is inspired by live theatre and by the Old Masters' paintings.
These images were done for the Dodger's Stadium redevelopment proposal. Client's rough massing models (last image) and their verbal design intent descriptions were used to build my illustrations.
I created each image as a dynamic view of a unique moment. By illustrating the random light conditions, textures, graphics, and selected specific details of each place, in addition to the architecture, I captured what one may notice when visiting a building, a street, or any other architecturally defined space as a place worth remembering.
My choices of the type and actions of people pictured within the architecture are designed to also tell the viewer why it is fun to be there.
